The Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci

The Mona Lisa (also known as La Gioconda) by Leonardo da Vinci. The newspaper The Independent once described it as "the best known, the most visited, the most written about, the most sung about, the most parodied work of art in the world." Painted sometime between 1503 and 1506, it now resides in The Louvre in Paris.
