Anne Bancroft

A photo of Anne Bancroft as she appeared in the 1967 film The Graduate. Bancroft played Mrs. Robinson, the older woman with whom Benjamin (Dustin Hoffman) has an affair. She's the recipient of one of the film's most famous lines: Hoffman saying, "Mrs. Robinson, you're trying to seduce me... aren't you?"  Bancroft was nominated for an Academy Award as best actress, losing to Katharine Hepburn in Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.
