Sigmund Freud looks to his left the year before his death

A portrait of famed psychologist and big thinker Sigmund Freud in 1938. Sigmund Freud was born in 1856, so he turned 82 the year this photo was taken. It must be said that he was still a very tidy dresser at that age, with his necktie and perfectly unwrinkled wool suit. Freud died the next year, in 1939, of cancer.
