Benjamin Franklin: Portrait of the inventor as a long-hair

A Currier and Ives portrait of Benjamin Franklin from 1847 shows the great innovator and patriot with a balding forehead but flowing locks behind. It might be the original mullet, except that he has no "business in front" to go with the party in the back. The caption reads, "Benjamin Franklin. The statesman and philosopher."
