Charles Portis

The hardcover book was published in 1968 by Simon & Schuster, and has gone through many printings since then. The book was the inspiration for two popular films of the same name: the first starring John Wayne and Kim Darby in the lead roles, and the second starring Jeff Bridges and Hailee Steinfeld.
