Laverne Cox in ‘Orange is the New Black’

Laverne Cox as she appeared in the TV series Orange Is the New Black. Cox had the recurring role of Sophia Burset, a transgender prisoner in a women’s prison. She was Emmy-nominated for the show four times, becoming the first transgender person ever to be nominated for an Emmy Award in any acting category.
