Big Brown Wins Triple Crown!
Top challenger Casino Drive is out with a bruised hoof. The rest of the Belmont Stakes field is suspect.So in the spirit of Dewey defeats Truman, we are hereby jumping the gun, four hours early, and declaring Big Brown the winner of the 2008 Triple Crown. It's the first Triple Crown in 30 years.
Congratulations, Big Brown! Well run, plucky steed.

Will someone notify all the people associated with Big Brown that you don't just all of a sudden discontinue steriods--You taper the doses and especially after one year on steriods. Steriods did not make him the machine he is, but abruptly discontinuing,especially before a strenous bid like the Belmont would leave him ill.
