Grover Cleveland Died 100 Years Ago

President Grover Cleveland died 100 years ago today in Princeton, New Jersey.

In a very modest coincidence, he and the late George Carlin both died at age 71, of heart failure, 100 years apart. And they shared the initials GC. (Lincoln-Kennedy it's not, but still.)

Cleveland remains the only U.S. president to serve two non-consecutive terms. He was elected in 1884, booted in 1888 (in favor of Benjamin Harrison), then elected again in 1892. And of course, he's the only president to marry a 21-year-old while in office. (So far.)
