Boom! John Madden Retires
Madden says "it's time."A light historic note:
Madden started on both the offensive and defensive lines as a player for California Polytechnic College at San Luis Obispo in 1957 and 1958 and was voted to the All-Conference team. He was also a catcher on the school's baseball team. Madden earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1959 and a Master of Arts degree in 1961, both from Cal Poly.

I am absolutely heart broken at the retirement of John Madden! I followed him from network to network. NEVER missed a game that he called! As a woman who is passionate about football...John made the game even more interesting for me & helped me to understand some of the plays better.
I am happy that he will be able to spend more time with his family, tho'. I'm just being a bit selfish!
John, I wish you the very best & will be looking for you everywhere!
