We interrupt the saga of Tiger Woods, Elin Nordegren, Rachel Uchitel and Jaimee Grubbs for some even more exciting news: Cormac McCarthy is auctioning off his beat-up old typewriter!
It's a beauty, and it was used to write some pretty great books, from Blood Meridian to No Country for Old Men and The Road.
It sounds as though the machine doesn't work, but man, what a stocking stuffer for that bibliophile in your life!

Only $15-20k? It seems like it should go for that easy.I'm not up on the literary memorabilia market, but this guy's a celebrated author with a lot of famous books.I'm amazed dude wrote with this typewriter (which he bought USED) since 1963. Four decades plus?Wow.
