Rachel Uchitel Has Paid Las Vegas $1349!
[ Posted September 2010 ]
Well well!
You may recall our exclusive posts on Rachel Uchitel and her outstanding Las Vegas traffic ticket of $1345. (Rachel Uchitel was the original "other woman" in the Tiger Woods - Elin Nordegren breakup, you may recall. Or perhaps you've blocked it out.)
The ticket stemmed from a January 24, 2008 traffic stop in Las Vegas, when Uchitel was cited for an expired license plate and no insurance. (Statutes 482.545.1 and 485.187, don't you know.)
The fees went unpaid for months, and we noted that a $25 late fee was tacked on in January of 2009. A year later Uchitel still hadn't paid, and we even flattered ourselves that our posts were helping the Las Vegas authorities hold her well-pedicured feet to the fire.
In the wake of Tiger Woods's divorce last week, we thought to check up on the Uchitel traffic case one more time. And lo and behold! Rachel Uchitel has paid the fine. The excellent Clark County Courts online records site shows that case 103833386 is closed. Uchitel herself coughed up the $1345 online on June 9th, along with an added $4.00 "transaction assessment" fee. (Just like buying Aerosmith tickets from Ticketmaster. We feel her pain.)
So congratulations, Rachel Uchitel! You are now, presumably, free to return to Las Vegas and party on. And more importantly, your conscience is clear.
