Is it just me, or did we all expect something a little more profound?
Yes, I turned that over in my mind some. Presumably he was seeing the tunnel of white light and etc, right?
Given his reputation for attention to detail and obsession with privacy, I like to think that he previously had set it up with his lawyer to write anybody out of his will who leaked details about his death scene. Then he uttered the pre-arranged phrase -- "Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow" -- so the lawyer would know that the leaker was accurate and therefore had to be *one of the people in that room.*
Which would be bad news for Mona Simpson, except that she announced it in a eulogy rather than leaking it, so maybe it's OK after all.
