Forget the Romulans: Fear the Stuntmen
On my first day of shooting I ended up breaking a stunt guy's nose on the second take. A word of caution to any young actor out there: Do NOT hurt stuntmen because they will pay you back in kind. The next take after that, this big stunt guy kicked me in the stomach. He said it wasn't on purpose, but I don't know.Chris Pine learns the Hollywood way while filming Star Trek.

Kirk is Back

Four decades after NBC axed the original series, the unstoppable Star Trek franchise was back again last night -- with a feature premiere in Australia and a surprise preview in Austin.
And with a new Captain Kirk. 28-year-old Chris Pine takes the helm as Young Kirk, succeeding the super-legendary William Shatner. The film (titled simply Star Trek) opens in the U.S. on May 8th.
Early reviews seem mighty good.

"Getting Their Kirk On"
Hobbyists build their own Captain Kirk chairs from Star Trek."Sitting in it," said Mr. Bradshaw, the graphic designer, "I find myself striking an action pose quite unconsciously."Nowadays you can also just buy a replica -- along with a replica phaser and Tribble.
To his regret, he must strike those poses in his home office. "My wife is not big on it," he said. "I've actually been threatened with divorce if it comes into the living room."
