One Dream Rush
Diversion: Some liquor company somewhere had a contest of sorts called One Dream Rush. Filmmakers had 42 seconds to make a dreamy movie.The above link goes to the YouTube channel that features some of the short films, including ones by David Lynch and, oddly enough, James Franco.
Speaking of diversions and Franco, if you've never seen his funny shorts on Funny or Die, here's the link to his special channel -- they are a hoot.

The Beatles Reunite, Kinda, Sorta
Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney played together over the weekend, and Rolling Stone thought enough of it to give it several column inches. So did many others.Godblessem and all, but... is it really worthy of note as a "Beatles reunion"?
More of an oddity was the charity that benefitted: David Lynch's push to raise $7 billion for transcendental meditation in schools. Or more formally, The David Lynch Foundation for Consciousness-Based Education and World Peace. Official site here.
