Alexa Chung Is Vogue's Most Stylish Woman - PHOTOS
MTV host Alexa Chung has topped Vogue magazine's list of the most stylish women of 2009, announced today.
Chung is something of a 21st-century woman. Her father is Chinese, her mother British, and as a youngster she modeled for Urban Outfitter (wherever they fit into the hip/not-hip picture these days). Before taking the job on MTV's It's On this summer, she was a favorite on UK shows like Popworld and Gok's Fashion Sense.
Not everyone is keen on her look. Says the Daily Mail, "She may be fashionable, but it is difficult to ignore the fact that Alexa Chung is incredibly thin." The British site 3AM weighs in: "Admittedly, Alexa does have some nice frocks, but she also drapes a lot of awful crap over her womanly curves (by womanly curves, we mean emaciated twig limbs)."
Still, even the Mail has kind words in the end: "Chung... typically favours vintage-inspired, feminine clothes worn with chunky ankle boots or brogues. She is a staunch supporter of British labels including Luella and Mulberry, which has just named a bag after her."
Others on the list:
French actress Audrey Tautou was second.
British actress Emma Watson was sixth.
First Lady Michelle Obama (right, with Sarah Brown, the British PM's wife) was 14th.
Lady GaGa, bless her heart, was sixth.

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
Here's a new trailer for the next big movie based on the J.K. Rowling series of Harry Potter novels.The movie stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint, along with Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Ralph Fiennes (Lord Voldemort).
Judging from the trailer, it also stars that black smoke monster that used to be on the TV show Lost.
