How Jeff Bridges Met His Wife

I don't know how it is for women or for other guys, but when I was young and in my 20s, I had a fear of marriage. I thought it was a giant step toward death. So I did everything in my power to resist it -- the idea was frightening to me, man. Then I met Susan Geston in 1974 while I was shooting the film Rancho Deluxe in Montana, up in Paradise Valley at Chico Hot Springs, and I thought, Now, this is interesting. 

Jeff Bridges tells Reader's Digest (!) about meeting his wife in 1974. They've been married since 1977.


Here they are at the Academy Awards in 2010, just before Jeff Bridges won his Oscar for Crazy Heart.  And below, another lovely shot in the rain at the Golden Globe Awards in January 2010.

Miley Cyrus is Not Engaged to Liam Hemsworth

Ignore the ring-finger ring: 17-year-old Miley Cyrus is not getting married. At least, not at this moment and not to Liam Hemsworth. False alarm.

To quote Alicia Silverstone in Clueless: "AS IF. I'm only 16, and this is California, not Kentucky."

Kevin Jonas: Impure in the Driven Snow

The purity ring came off for Kevin Jonas yesterday as he married Danielle Delesea at Oheka Castle, a "109,000-square-foot estate in Cold Spring Harbor."

The Jonas wedding took place despite a blizzard that swept Long Island and the rest of the East Coast. "The snow only made it look more like a winter wonderland," claimed Michael Russo, the event planner from Roses-n-Lollipops (no lie!) who helped Jonas and Delesea plan the wedding.

Kevin Jonas is 22, Delesea is 23, and it's the first marriage for both. Delesea was a hairdresser from New Jersey when Jonas met her on vacation in the Bahamas in 2007.

Brothers Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas were best men for yesterday's wedding.

Letterman Gets Hitched

"I had avoided getting married pretty good for, like, 23 years, and I -- honestly, whether this happened or not -- I secretly felt that men who were married admired me... like I was the last of the real gunslingers, you know what I'm saying?"

Dave Letterman got married.
