Squeaky Fromme to be Released From Jail

It was just this past May that would-be presidential assassin Sara Jane Moore gave an interview about her 1975 attempt to kill President Gerald Ford.

Now Lynette "Squeaky" Fromme, the other woman in jail for attempting to kill Ford, is set to be released this month, after 34 years in prison. CNN has the story here.

Fromme was already infamous by the time she waved a gun at President Ford -- she'd been one of the most visible supporters of Charles Manson when he was on trial for the 1969 murders of seven people.

Sara Jane Moore Speaks

Released from prison at the end of 2007 after serving 32 years, would-be presidential assassin Sara Jane Moore was interviewed by Matt Lauer on TV this week.

Moore was sent to jail for taking a shot at President Gerald Ford in 1975.

She says she's tired of being thought of as "a kook, a monster... an alien."
