Jill Kelley’s Obsessed, Shirtless-Photo-Sending FBI Friend Wasn’t Obsessed and Was Only Sorta Shirtless

That friendly FBI agent wasn’t acting weird about Jill Kelley at all, says the Tampa Bay Times:

An attorney for the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association [said] that the agent simply took the initial report from Kelley about anonymous, harassing emails and passed it along.

“He and his wife have been social friends of Mr. and Mrs. Kelley for years,” the attorney, Lawrence Berger said.’

That contradicts an earlier Wall Street Journal report that the agent, Frederick W. Humphries II, was barred from the case by superiors because he “might have grown obsessed” with Jill Kelley and had sent her a photo of himself shirtless.

How do these things get started?
Berger confirmed that Humphries had, indeed, sent a shirtless photo of himself to Kelley several years ago — but said the picture was part of a series of jokes between the families.
In the photo, he said, Humphries appeared without a shirt standing between two firing-range dummies. It was not of a sexual nature, Berger said.
If true, that makes Humphries the only person in this story who wasn’t acting weird.
Update! The Seattle Times has the photo:

So: definitely shirtless, but not so naughty.  Reports the paper:
The picture, which was sent to a reporter at The Seattle Times in 2010, was taken following a “hard workout” with the SWAT team at MacDill Air Force Base. [Humphries is] posed between a pair of target dummies that have a remarkable likeness to the buff agent. The caption on the photo, which was sent from a personal email account, reads, “Which One’s Fred?”
