Mitt Romney’s Hat Almost In Ring

Former Massachusetts governor and 2008 Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced today that he’s decisively almost to the point of running for the office of U.S. president again.

The U.K.’s Guardian has the story, including Mitt Romney’s video announcement, which we don’t want to simply replay here because it’s boring and because if you really want to see it, you should go to Mitt Romney’s official YouTube channel where your repeated clicks and/or nicely-phrased comments just might get you an ambassadorship, should Romney end up winning in 2012.

In the video, Romney positions himself as the business expert who can create jobs. He sounds pretty decisive, up until the key point of his announcement — that he’s forming an exploratory committee. Wow. Not that he’s actually running for office, but he’s seriously thinking about running for office. Stand back! That’s leadership!

And that makes him at least one-up on Newt Gingrich and Sarah Palin, who are still in the thinking-about-thinking-about-it stage.
