‘Sully’ Sullenberger’s Pilot Hat Up for Sale

A pilot’s hat owned for years by Sully Sullenberger, the “hero of the Hudson,” is up for auction on Ebay.

Proceeds will benefit two schools in the San Francisco Bay area, where Sullenberger lives when he’s not piloting engineless planes to safety in major waterways.

The hat is not THE hat — that is, not the one he was wearing during his heroics in January. (Sullenberger says he wasn’t wearing *any* hat during the flight.) Still, it has been worn by The Man and it comes with a stylish ventilation hole front and center.

Not that Sully ever sweats.
