If Punxsutawney Phil is smart he’ll stay hunkered down in his groundhog burrow tomorrow morning. Forecasts call for ice pellets and freezing rain with wind gusts up to 25 mph.
But no, his handlers say they’ll drag the poor guy out no matter what. (Is it possible to feel sorry for a celebrity who works only one day a year? Because we’re feeling that.)
Punxsutawney Phil has seen his shadow four out of the last five years, with 2007 being the only shadow-free year. In 2006, with the Steelers in the Super Bowl, Phil was even made to wear a Terrible Towel. They’re back in the Super Bowl again this year. Watch out, Phil!
