Thomas Noguchi

A photo of Thomas Noguchi, the so-called "Coroner to the Stars," circa 1980.

Noguchi earned his nickname thanks to his many years at the Los Angeles County Coroner's Office, which includes jurisdiction over Hollywood. He was the county's chief medical examiner from 1967-82, and performed autopsies on Marilyn Monroe, Janis Joplin and Robert F. Kennedy, among many others.
