About That Jezail Bullet

An earlier post about Afghanistan mentioned the “Jezail bullet” of Dr. Watson.

Just to clarify, a Jezail isn’t a person or a tribe — it’s a musket. “Afghan rebels typically used the Jezail from the tops of cliffs along valleys and defiles during ambushes. This tactic repeatedly devastated the British during their doomed retreat from Kabul to Jalalabad.”

Not that that history has any possible relevance to the current situation in Afghanistan. But just to clarify.
