Here’s a photo of actor Kyle MacLachlan on the set of the TV comedy Portlandia, the creation of SNL’s Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein (formerly of the rock band Sleater-Kinney).
MacLachlan plays the mayor of Portland in the show, which pokes fun at the city in which I live. They recently finished shooting their second season for IFC (you can see the official site of Portlandia here). In fact, they’ve done much of the shooting around my own neighborhood. I even saw Carrie Brownstein once at the local Rite-Aid, in the aisle where they sell nail clippers. If that’s not a brush with fame, I don’t know what is.
