Caroline Paul

Caroline Paul is the author of Fighting Fire, a 1998 memoir about becoming one of San Francisco's first woman firefighters. A 1986 Stanford graduate and aspiring filmmaker, Paul took the firefighter's exam in 1988 as research for a planned radio report; when she was accepted, she dropped the story and joined the department. Paul is also known as an animal rights activist. Her identical twin sister, Alexandra Paul, is an actress and former star of the TV series Baywatch.
