Debbie Matenopoulos
TV Personality
Debbie Matenopoulos was for several years the bouncy, head-tossing host of "The Screening Room" on the TV Guide Channel, where she appeared alongside the scrolling listings of the day's programs on cable TV. Matenopoulos was one of the original co-hosts of the women's chat show The View in 1997. Her kooky live-wire style earned her critics as well as fans, and she was abruptly dumped from the show in 1999. She later became an animated regular on MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch series as well as the host for TV Guide. In 2006 she began hosting the pop culture show The Daily 10 on the E! Channel.Extra credit: Matenopoulos attended Virginia Commonwealth University before transferring to New York University... She made a special one-day return appearance on The View on 25 July 2006, shortly before Rosie O'Donnell became a regular on the show.
Other TV personalities: Katie Couric, Paula Zahn, Tom Green and Regis Philbin.
