James McCourt

TV Personality

James McCourt is a British television personality, perhaps best known as a presenter for the Disney Channel's Studio Disney program. McCourt got into broadcasting early, producing programming for a local hospital while still a teen. He also was part of the short-lived pop band In 2 Deep early in the 1990s. In 1998 he became a regular on the daily afternoon show Studio Disney, remaining on the job until 2001. He has since taken various roles as a television and radio presenter and voice-over actor. In 2004 he began presenting the National Lottery drawings on BBC1. McCourt's brother Richard is also a TV personality who has presented for the BBC's children's network, the CBBC, and is part of the comedy pairing Dick and Dom.

Extra credit: McCourt is no relation to James McCourt, the author of Mawrdew Czgowchwz and Delancey's Way... McCourt once joked to Bid Mag about his band In 2 Deep, "We weren't that good to be honest but got quite a bit of coverage because of our Tartan trousers."

Other TV personalities include Simon Cowell, Adam Curry and Regis Philbin.
