Pedro Lascurain
Political Figure
Pedro Lascurain was a cabinet member during the administration of Mexican president Francisco Madero when Madero was overthrown by General Victoriano Huerta on 18 February 1913. Lascurain assumed the presidency, designated Huerta as his Foreign Minister, then resigned, allowing Huerta to take office as the new president. The whole deal took less than an hour, giving Lascurain a place in The Guinness Book of Records for the shortest presidency. As for Madero, he was shot and killed 19 February 1913.Four Good Links
