Soleil Moon Frye
Actor
Soleil Moon Frye played a spunky orphan in the popular 1980s TV series Punky Brewster. The show had an extended life in reruns, making Frye something of a pop culture icon for the '80s generation. (A cartoon version of the show, It's Punky Brewster, also ran for a few seasons.) In the 1990s Frye's credits included The Liar's Club (1993), the Roger Corman remake Piranha (1995) and Wild Horses (1998), an independent film which she also co-wrote and co-directeed. Frye's 1993 breast-reduction surgery put her on the cover of People magazine. She joined the cast of TV's Sabrina, The Teenage Witch in 2000 as Roxie King. She married producer Jason Goldberg in October of 1998.Extra credit: Her first child with Goldberg, a daughter named Poet Sienna Rose Goldberg, was born in August of 2005.
Child stars of earlier eras include Ron Howard, Patty Duke, Hayley Mills and Natalie Wood.
