Veronica Varekova

Model

A model since 1996, Veronica Varekova is best known for her repeat appearances in the Victoria's Secret lingerie catalog and the annual Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue. (She appeared on the cover of SI's 2004 edition.) She is also an ambassador for Nivea beauty products, and has appeared on the covers of Cosmopolitan, Marie Claire and other top magazines. According to a 2001 article in Sports Illustrated, Varekova "speaks three languages and has degrees in psychology and education."

Extra credit: Varekova married National Hockey League star (and fellow Czech) Petr Nedved in 2004... Varekova's Sports Illustrated cover appearance was the second in a row by a Czech; Petra Nemcova was the cover girl in 2003.
