Koko the Gorilla photo

Koko the gorilla makes the sign for "love" in this publicity photo from The Gorilla Foundation at Koko.org. Koko was born at the San Francisco Zoo in 1971; a year later, she began to learn sign language taught to her by Dr. Francine “Penny” Patterson. Koko lived to be 46 years old, passing away in 2018.
