Bar Refaeli with a LOT of diamonds

Bar Refaeli poses for photographers with a *large* diamond choker necklace at the amfAR Cinema Against AIDS event on May 23, 2007. This was at Le Moulin de Mougins in Mougins, France. We've spent the last half-hour blowing up this photo, Zapruder-style, to see if that can actually be a diamond necklace so heavily loaded with real diamonds. On the one hand, would a supermodel wear costume jewelry? On the other hand, if those are real diamonds, it's a very expensive necklace, even by the standards of big jewelry houses loaning out jewelry for stars to wear. Our final verdict: Yes, it's real diamonds, but more like little diamonds and chips and such, artfully interspersed with the metal, so that they are valuable but not *that* valuable. If it is a loaner, certainly they couldn't have asked for a better framing than Refaeli is giving it here.
