Billy Joel sings ‘We Are the World’

Billy Joel is seen here among many (many!) other music stars in a music studio in Los Angeles on January 28, 1985. The all-star choir was recording "We Are the World," a single for the charitable group USA for Africa. This image was used as part of footage for an HBO special on the event, which aired on May 1, 1985. The song and its spinoff merchandise raised millions for the charity. Billy Joel, with beard, is second from left in the second row.
