Charles Darwin: A Portrait

Is that a grin or a leer in this wry portrait of Charles Darwin? Either way, this caricature was published in Vanity Fair magazine in 1871 -- the same year that Darwin's book "The Descent of Man" came out. He looks good! The caption on the drawing reads, "Men of the Day, No. 33. 'Natural Selection.'"
