Charlie Chaplin as the Little Tramp

Here's Charlie Chaplin as his most famous character, known as "the Little Tramp." The character was one of the true icons of the silent film era. As presented by Chaplin, the Little Tramp was a poor young man with big dreams that would (usually) be dashed. His outfit, with bowler and cane, represented his desire to be upper-crusty, although in reality he was sometimes reduced to cooking and eating his own shoe.
