Christy Turlington at a ‘No Woman, No Cry’ screening

Christy Turlington pauses for photographers at the London Film Festival (the 54th Times BFI London Film Festival, to be precise) as she enters a screening of the film No Woman, No Cry. This was in London, England (naturally) on October 23, 2010. Turlington directed No Woman, No Cry; it was her first directorial job. The film takes its title from the well-known Bob Marley tune, though it's not about Marley. Rather, per the film's website: " For hundreds of thousands of women each year, pregnancy is a death sentence... NO WOMAN, NO CRY is a gripping documentary that tells the personal stories of pregnant women and their caregivers in four countries as they try to avoid adding to these troubling statistics." Christy Turlington was born in 1969, so she turned 41 the year this photo was taken.
