Claire Foy Biography
After a decade in big roles in British television, Claire Foy became a sudden star as Queen Elizabeth II in the 2016 series The Crown.
She studied drama in college, graduated in 2007 and had a leading role a year later in the TV mini-series Little Dorrit.
Foy then built a solid reputation as a dramatic lead in The Promise (2011), Upstairs/Downstairs (2010-12), White Heat (2012), Crossbones (2014) and, as Anne Boleyn, Wolf Hall (2015).
Her performance in The Crown earned Foy a Golden Globe, and after two seasons she starred in the movies The Last Man (2018, starring Ryan Gosling) and, as Lisabeth Salander, The Girl in the Spider’s Web (2018, based on characters created by Stieg Larsson).
