Elizabeth Taylor in everyday clothes in 1946

"Elizabeth Taylor in 1946" is the only caption we got from our photo provider with this shot. So we're going to assume it's just a candid paparazzi shot, like those we see today of Miley Cyrus coming out of Starbucks with a caramel Frappuccino. Liz Taylor is probably on her way to the grocery store here, or maybe heading into the Brown Derby on a Sunday afternoon for a Yankee pot roast dinner. World War II ended the year before, so suddenly flowery hats were available again; before that, all the flowers were sent to Europe for use as tank camouflage. You can see that Elizabeth Taylor looks a little bit irritated here, which is the tip-off that this is undoubtedly a snapshot from real life.
