Elsie Fisher Biography
Elsie Fisher is the young star of the 2018 film Eighth Grade.
Fisher began her career at age 5, as the voice of Agnes in the animated feature Despicable Me (2010).
She also appeared in the 2013 sequel, Despicable Me 2, and played Kevin Costner‘s daughter in the 2015 movie McFarland, but mostly spent the next several years going to grade school near Los Angeles.
Right after finishing the eighth grade, Fisher shot the movie, Eighth Grade, in which she plays the socially uneasy protagonist. Fisher got rave reviews, as did the film’s writer and director, Bo Burnham.
Between 2009 and 2012, Fisher was the voice of a little girl among Russian bears in the animated series Masha and The Bear. In 2022 she co-starred in the re-make of Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
