Elvis Presley sings in ‘It Happened at the World’s Fair’

As movie titles go, 'It Happened at the World's Fair' is no 'Viva Las Vegas' or 'Girls, Girls, Girls!' It's not even 'Blue Hawaii.' But however boring the title, the film still had Elvis Presley going for it. In 'It Happened at the World's Fair' (1963), Elvis plays a singing crop-dusting pilot who ventures to the world's fair in Seattle, Washington. Romance and hijinks ensue, natch. There really was a world's fair in Seattle in 1962 -- that's when they built the Space Needle -- so that part checks out. Still, how hard would it have been to have come up with a snappier title? 'Space Needle of Love' was right there for them. Or 'Suddenly Seattle.'
