Errol Flynn, as Robin Hood, prepares to do battle in the 1938 feature 'The Adventures of Robin Hood.' The film was a huge success and made Flynn the archetypal Robin Hood of the century. The film was directed by Michael Curtiz, who directed Humphrey Bogart in 'Casablanca' four years later.
