J. Edgar Hoover ‘waxes’ nostalgic

Sorry for the bad pun. This is, indeed, a wax figure of F.B.I. Director J. Edgar Hoover, seen outside the Newseum in Washington, D.C. on July 31, 2008. The Hoover wax figure was there to promote the museum's show 'G-Men and Journalists.' Never really nostalgic, Hoover ruled the bureau with ruthless (some would say abusive) efficiency during his 48 years as director.
