John Kerry on bass guitar with The Electras

Future senator, presidential candidate, and climate ambassador John Kerry (far left) poses with his band The Electras in this way-old photo from his youth. The band was formed while Kerry was a student at the prep school St. Paul's, and released one self-produced album in 1961. John Kerry was born in in 1943, so he would have turned 18 that year. The band members pictured are, left to right: John Kerry, Peter Lang (on drums), Jon Prouty, and Larry Rand.
