Kat Dennings Biography
Kat Dennings is the full-lipped, moon-faced actress who co-starred with Michael Cera in the 2008 film Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist and now plays Max in the sitcom 2 Broke Girls. A native of Pennsylvania, Dennings was schooled at home and began acting in commercials before her teens. Her first big TV break came in a 2000 episode of the TV series Sex and the City, and her first big movie break came in the 2005 comedy The 40-Year-Old Virgin (starring Steve Carell). Since then Dennings has appeared dozens of times on television and in the movies, in lead roles as well as supporting parts. She was a regular in the series Raising Dad (2001-02), had a recurring role in E.R. (2005-06) and played supporting roles in the films The House Bunny (2008, with Emma Stone) and Thor (2011, she played sidekick to Natalie Portman). Her other films include Charlie Bartlett (2008), Defendor (2010, starring Woody Harrelson) and Daydream Nation (2010).
