King Willem-Alexander waves from on high

Future king Willem-Alexander (second from right) joins Queen Beatrix and Princess Maxima in waving to crowds on Prinsjesdag (Prince's Day) in the Netherlands. That's the day on which the reigning monarch of the Netherlands (at that time, Queen Beatrix) addresses a joint session of the Dutch Senate and House of Representatives in the Ridderzaal (Hall of Knights) in The Hague. This was on September 20, 2011. Queen Beatrix abdicated the throne two years later, in 2013, and was succeeded by King Willem-Alexander.
