Is Molly Ringwald Scottish?

Molly Ringwald steps forward in a groovy plaid dress at the opening night afterparty for the Broadway play November on January 17, 2008. This was at the Bond 45 restaurant in New York City. Molly Ringwald wasn't actually in November -- she was just hitting the party. She looks a bit awkward, as if she wasn't really expecting to be photographed. We are digging that dress, which seems to be a nod toward a Scottish tartan. Is the name "Ringwald" Scottish? Probably... not? We're not going to look it up -- don't want to spoil the magic.
