Princess Stephanie of Monaco might be dreading the circus

PRINCESS STEPHANIE of MONACO enters an event celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo, or Monte Carlo Circus Festival. The 2006 celebration of the annual event, created by Stephanie's father Prince Rainier, included some of the best award-winning acts seen throughout the lifetime of the festival. That was also the year that Princess Stephanie took over as president of the festival after her father's death.

Perhaps it's unfair, but over years of looking at images of circus events from Monte Carlo, the photo team from Who2 has come to the conclusion that they may be more obligation than joy for Monaco's royal family. And who can blame them? It's good for the local economy and the esprit de Monaco, but having to show enthusiasm for the circus year after year could be a drag.
