Sally Field in the title role of the 1979 film Norma Rae. The film, directed by Martin Ritt, told the story of a cotton mill worker who becomes a union organizer. Sally Field won the Oscar as best actress for the role. Sally Field was born in 1946, so she turned 33 the year the film was released.
