The Monkees rehearse in caps and cardigans

The Monkees seem to rehearse a new number in this NBC publicity photo for The Monkees, the musical comedy that ran from 1966-1968. From left are Davy Jones (holding tambourine and maracas), Peter Tork (back, holding bass), Micky Dolenz (at the drums), and Michael Nesmith (with what looks like a Gibson guitar). Nesmith's stocking cap (or "watch cap") was his wardrobe signature during the run of the show. On the other hand, they ditched the dad cardigan for Davy Jones pretty quickly.
