Tom Cruise meets New Zealand’s prime minister

Tom Cruise was born in July of 1962, so that would make him between 37 and 46 when this photo was taken. Given the Japanese characters on their hats, were going to guess that Cruise was in New Zealand to film The Last Samurai, which was released in 2003.
